With regards to yesterday’s shootings in Munich we did not publish the party guide – it just did not feel right – and we spent the evening following the news on tv. Some friends chose to stay home this weekend, discussing if it’s wiser to stay home from now on, not enjoying music and our weekend beer anymore. Let me tell you the outcome was: It’s definitely not. Let’s enjoy the more those Berlin clubs with an outdoor area or at least a yard where we can hang outside and have our weekend beer. There are areas in this world where this is simply not possible, the more we should be aware of the freedom we are living here. Stay safe and let love rule.
Picknick presents Engtanz / Spindler & Klatt / Köpenicker Str. 16-17 / 22.00 / Berlin
Lineup: Engtanz Djs
♥ We love those little hearts here. After Bricks we didn’t think Engtanz could move to an even posher location – wrong. Spindler & Klatt offers an outdoor area directly by the water, one reason we guess and not the worst on a night like this.
African Acid Is The Future / Loftus Hall / Maybachufer 48 / 23.00 /
From afro to techno, and a lot more in between. On an acid trip around afro rythms, travelling from Nigeria, Ethiopia, Congo to Ghana, cruising on electronic sounds, cosmic rythmic, psychedelic vibrations. This is gonna be hot, not only because of the sticky air at Loftus Hall.
Japanese Summer Fest / Macha Macha / Hasenheide 16 / 12-18.00. / Berlin
Japanese foods, drinks, hand made crafts, massage and more! Funny Japanese stuff going at Hasenheide, if you enjoyed Thai Park this is your thing, too (not that we compare). 七夕と日本の夏祭り 浴衣でどうぞお越しください。！The writings alone, love it!
Summer Horse Race at Hoppegarten / Rennbahn Hoppegarten / Goetheallee 1 / 14.00 / Berlin
Pretty Woman calling: Take out that sun dress, the wide brimmed hat, don’t forget the picknick blanky and some betting cash. The only occasion where stirring high potent Bloody Mary’s on the lawn before 5pm is socially acceptable. Horsing around and watching the other kind of jockey.
